Artists Biographies: Honoring the best in the business                       by Germaine Poitiers

ShowBiz Time Magazine and FAMSPA major concerns are the promotion of accomplished artists, creative minds and gearing the public (National/International) attention toward the meaningful work of singers and musicians who contributed so much to the world of music and entertainment. FAMSPA has all the resources and means to accomplish these objectives. It publishes numerous books, each one of them exceeding 700 pages, oversized format, directories and the World Who's Who, a set of 10 massive volumes. In addition, and on a regular basis, FAMSPA and its associates

(approximately seven international magazines and newspapers) cover the events and performances of artists on an international scale via articles, interviews and CD reviews read by not less than 8 million readers around the globe. In a recent meeting of the Board of Trustees, a splendid idea was suggested: Why not publishing the biographies and career highlights of distinguished artists and talented singers and musicians in SHOWBIZ TIME magazine and on the website of FAMSPA? The idea received warm enthusiasm.

FAMSPA's board and Mr. de Lafayette, the world acclaimed writer and entertainment critic suggested that without further delay, the biographies of artists must be made available to the public on a very large scale. And here we are inaugurating this honorable effort. Biographies and data were taken from various volumes of the WORLD WHO'S WHO IN JAZZ, CABARET, MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT, published by FAMSPA and Times Square Press.

Artists don't live only on bread and water.

Accolades are fine. But more gigs are better. And a significant public support and recognition is the best. How do we accomplish this? How, in a very pragmatic manner and almost cost-free,  FAMSPA can attract the attention of the public, music lovers, venues' owners, shows sponsors and organizers to the work of singers and musicians? Promotion! As simple as that! Even AOL, Coca Cola, IBM and Walt Disney advertise worldwide every single day! Giving artists additional and/or maximum exposure is extremely effective. Consequently, the biographies and career highlights of artists is and shall remain accessible to the public on a permanent basis on the website of FAMSPA and SHOWBIZ TIME on line. This week our guests are: Zola, Nancy Wilson, Roseanna Vitro,  Marilyn Scott, Ellen Robinson., Antoinette Montague, Suzanne Grzanna
